Pilot program has been expanded to 16 agencies to audit unused/unneeded credit cards. After 2 weeks, ~146,000 cards have been de-activated.

As a reminder, at the start of the audit, there were ~4.6M active cards/accounts, so still more work to do.

Yesterday, @NIH cancelled seven grants for transgender experiments on animals including:
- $532K to “use a mouse model to investigate the effects of cross-sex testosterone treatment”
- $33K to test “feminizing hormone therapy in the male rat”

OPM has successfully executed the first ever fully digital retirement. The process took 2 days and more work is needed, but this is a great improvement from the current paper solution taking multiple months. Great job by the @USOPM team.

Agreed! Today, lease cancellations on vacant/underutilized buildings are up from ~257 to ~440, with annual rent savings increasing from ~$100M to ~$171M.

Today, the Federal Government exceeded $100M in annual rent savings through cancellations of 250+ vacant/underutilized leases totaling 3M+ square feet. With ~7,250 current leases, there is plenty of available office space for the current workforce.

This audit was repeated at the Department of Labor. Initial results:

- 380 Microsoft 365 licenses with zero users
- 128 Microsoft Teams conference room licenses; only installed in 30 rooms
- 250 VSCode licenses; only using 33
- 129 Photoshop licenses; only using 22.

-4 redundant survey tools, ranging from $118K-$1.8M/year
-Paying for 10,000 UI Path licenses; only using 5,011
-Paying for 20,600 Tableau licenses; only using 11,560

The @USGSA sold the old Webster School building in DC for $4,138,000. The building was acquired via condemnation in 2003, remained empty and boarded up ever since, and accrued $24M of deferred maintenance and liabilities.

In the last 48 hours, the Department of Education terminated 70 DEI training grants totaling $373M.
